1. Warranty Coverage 

All EFM® products are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty periods vary by product category and may range from 12 months up to 5 years from the date of purchase.  Fill out the Warranty Claim form here. 

 

This warranty is provided in addition to rights available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under the ACL, consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Consumers are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure.   

 

1.1 Warranty Conditions 

The warranty applies only where:  

  • The product has been used in accordance with its intended purpose.   

  • The product has not been misused, damaged, modified, or neglected;   

  • The defect is not due to normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or improper installation.   

  • Proof of purchase is provided.   

The warranty applies only to the EFM product itself and does not extend to any third-party devices used in conjunction with the product. EFM is not liable for any consequential loss or damage arising from product use.   

 

2. Warranty Claims Process 

If you purchased your EFM product from this online store, simply enter your details by clicking here.   

If the product was purchased through a retail store, the customer should return it to the original place of purchase, where possible.   

If unable to return to the retailer, customers must contact EFM directly and provide:  

  • A copy of your proof of purchase. 

  • Photo of the fault. 

  • Brief description of the fault. 

  • Your contact details (name, phone number and postal address). 

 

Important: Warranty claims will not be processed without both proof of purchase and return of the faulty product.   

 

Range Warranty Period Description
Screen Protection

2 Years

If your EFM Screen Protection cracks on impact, that means it has done its best to protect your device’s screen. In such circumstances, this will not be classified as a manufacturing fault.

The manufacturer’s warranty for this product does not cover damage of any nature caused by incorrect applications of the EFM Screen Protection, including but not limited to air pockets forming and/or loss of adhesion to the device’s screen from multiple application efforts, or failing to clean the device appropriately prior to the application of the EFM Screen Protection to the device.
Case Protection 2 Years

D3O impact protection material is infused within the bumper of the Case, offering high protection against knocks and drops to the corners. There is no guarantee that an EFM case Protection will provide 100% protection, 100% of the time in ALL circumstances.

Under the terms of the EFM® Case Protection 2 Year Warranty, general wear and tear from excessive removal or daily use of an EFM Case Protector is not considered a manufacturing fault, nor is discolouring of the EFM® product. Please refer to the full terms of the warranty (located on the warranty card inside your Case Protection package).

Chargers & Cables (Exc. Power Banks) 5 Years

This EFM® product comes with a 5 Year warranty, which is set out in the warranty card accompanying the product. The 5 Year warranty does not cover certain things, including (but not limited to):

  • general wear and tear of your EFM® product’s charging cables; and
  • any damage of any nature associated with the incorrect use of any EFM® power product with your device
Power Banks (Inc. Wireless Power Banks) 2 Years

This EFM® product comes with a 2 Year warranty, which is set out in the warranty card accompanying the product. The 2 Year warranty does not cover certain things, including (but not limited to):

  • general wear and tear of your EFM® power bank and the included charging cables; and
  • any damage of any nature associated with incorrect use of any EFM® power product with your device
Audio 2 Years

This EFM® product comes with a 2 Year warranty, which is set out in the warranty card accompanying the product. The 2 Year warranty does not cover certain things, including (but not limited to):

  • general wear and tear of your EFM® audio product and the included power cables; and
  • damage or defects caused by the incorrect installation of the audio product, through your modification of the audio product, cosmetic damage, damage caused by accident, or damage caused by abuse or improper use of your audio product, including using the audio product in environments where the relevant IP rating limitations are exceeded.

IPX5 Rating
The IPX5 product is protected against the effects of low-pressure water jets at a rate of 12.5 litres per minute at a pressure of 100kPa at a distance of 3 metres for 15 minutes.

IPX6 Rating
The IPX6 product is protected against the effects of powerful water jets at a rate of 100 litres per minute at a pressure of 100 kPa at a distance of 3 m for 15 minutes.

IPX7 Rating
The IPX7 product is protected against the effects of immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes.

IP54 Rating
The IP54 product is protected against the effects of small deposits of dust, as well as spraying or splashing of water from any direction.

IP67 Rating

The IP54 product is protected against the effects of dust deposits, the effects of immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes.
